The Leadership Learning Collaborative (LLC) was formed in the fall of 2007. The Leadership Coaching Certificate Program (LCCP) was the first of a consortium of LLC’s leadership development opportunities.
Dr. Frederick C. Jefferson, Jr, Professor Emeritus, University of Rochester Warner School and Jim Ramerman, Executive Coach and CEO of Ramerman Leadership Group are the LLC founding members. The original impetus of the Collaborative was to share perspectives on facilitating leadership and organizational change and to explore potential partnering opportunities.
The UR faculty was exploring new avenues to deepen the leadership development experience of Warner School doctoral students seeking to become school principals and superintendents. The experience was anticipated to extend leadership and organizational development program offerings to UR faculty and staff senior leaders.
In parallel, the principals of Jim’s firm at that time were seeking to develop their capacity to strengthen their leadership development pedagogy, rooted in their leadership consulting and coaching experience. Jim had a passion and priority to facilitate the development of new coaching professionals and enhance their ability to drive organizational change.
Cohort I of the Leadership Learning Certificate Program (LCCP) was launched November 16, 2008. The University of Rochester’s Warner School and Ramerman Leadership Group continue as principals in the Leadership Learning Collaborative and LCCP faculty.
